Smooth Fusion Makes Strategic Promotions
Smooth Fusion has been on a journey to become an employee-owned company for several years. Our transparent operations and open-book management have allowed us to develop smart and capable leaders within our ranks. And as such, we are proud to announce some strategic promotions to create the organizational structure that will take Smooth Fusion into the future.
Here are the highlights of our new organizational structure:
Dylan Echols has been promoted to the role of president. Dylan became part of the Smooth Fusion family more than a decade ago and has filled a variety of roles—and exceeded expectations in all of them. As president of Smooth Fusion, Dylan will be leading an exceptional team.
Janae Allen has been promoted to the role of senior vice president of technology. Janae joined Smooth Fusion almost 20 years ago as a developer with a quality assurance background. She quickly became an indispensable member of our development team and has been serving as vice president of production for several years. As vice president of technology, Janae will direct our growth in technical capabilities, skills, and platforms.
Justin Bubel, who has been part of our production team for seven years, is becoming vice president of software solutions, owning the management of the entire production team. Justin is a talented software engineer and architect working across a wide range of projects throughout his time at Smooth Fusion.
Gary Evans has been promoted to vice president of information technology. Gary directs everything related to IT, DevOps, and web hosting. Gary originally came to Smooth Fusion in 2006, left for a couple of years to work in the non-profit world, then returned to Smooth Fusion in 2016. In addition to his IT and hosting duties, Gary organizes events to spur innovation among our team members.
Braden Mason has been promoted to vice president of delivery. Braden has been with Smooth Fusion for more than five years. Braden oversees the processes, tools, and project management involved in delivering our services and products.
Stephen Collings has been promoted to vice president of growth and partnerships. Stephen worked with CEO Todd Knowlton at Todd’s previous company starting in 1997, joined Smooth Fusion in 2004, left to work for various large marketing agencies, and returned to Smooth Fusion in 2023. Stephen builds new partnerships and opportunities for Smooth Fusion and opens new markets for the company.
Dalton Dellsperger has been promoted to vice president of customer experience. Dalton joined Smooth Fusion in 2024. He leads our efforts to build exceptional customer experiences and to deliver service that enhances the trusted partnerships.
Seathan Schiller has been promoted to director of operations. He joined Smooth Fusion in 2022 and has quickly moved up the ranks from operations coordinator to operations manager to director of operations. Seathan oversees all contracting, billing, human relations, recordkeeping, and corporate operations.
CEO Todd Knowlton is still highly involved daily. But as this team fully moves into their roles, Todd will spend more time in a CEO/CFO role, serving as chairman of the board, and continuing to work on expanding the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
A Special Thank You: Two Smooth Fusion legends retired at the end of 2024
Marcelia Sawyers has been the heart of Smooth Fusion culture since the very beginning. Marcelia and our CEO Todd Knowlton worked together beginning in 1997. Marcelia served multiple roles but was always the one who took care of our people. Debbie McClure kept Smooth Fusion’s operations buttoned up for more than 20 years. Managing production, accounting, and HR at various times in her career, Debbie showed us all how to run a tight ship.
