Scenario
MainFunction is a community site that promotes the exchange of ideas,
resources, and information relevant to technical faculty. The innovative site
has continually evolved since its inception in 1996 to reflect the newest
technology. For the latest redesign, MainFunction needed a place where
educators could collaborate with their peers and Microsoft professionals, as
well as learn about features, products, and the use of .NET technologies in the
classroom.
Solution
Smooth Fusion’s vision for MainFunction presented a total solution, including
strategic planning, graphic design, database design, and front-end Web
application development. Previous site content was ported over and integrated
into the new site that offers useful features such as forums, downloadable
resources, and a targeted search. The flagship site was built to showcase .NET
in action, and the content offers an inside look at current components with
open-source view.
